Spring 2002Initial Action Plan published for consultation in our newsletter, Hill & Hermitage. Later developed into a Management Plan for the site, which you can see in Hermitage House Visitor Centre. May 2002Friends awarded £4366 by Edinburgh Council's Pentland Local Development Committee Community Grants Fund to fund construction of a drystane dyke, double field gate and pedestrian access gate. October 24th 2002Work on the gates and dyke completed, the date of our fourth AGM. May 2003Friends awarded £7866 by Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH) to fund fence and laurel removal, tree surgery, construction of footpath, boardwalk and dipping platform and creating welcome and interpretation boards. August 2003SNH funded work completed. September 2003New LDC grant application for two recycled plastic benches submitted. November 2003Tit box installed. February 2004Two recycled plastic benches installed. |
